Tunisia: Detention of three oil executives extended in Tunis over alleged contract irregularities

The prosecution at the Tunis court of first instance has granted a 48-hour extension to the police custody of three executives, including a former general director of a public oil company, authorized by the central brigade of the National Guard in Aouina. This decision follows an investigation into allegations of financial and administrative corruption related to the awarding of an exploration and work contract in a gas production field in the Tataouine governorate, located in southern Tunisia.
