Niger cuts diplomatic ties with Ukraine

In solidarity with the Malian junta, Niger has broken diplomatic relations with Ukraine, accusing it of supporting "terrorist groups" after a significant defeat of the Malian army in late July. The Nigerien government, led by a military regime like Mali, also announced it would refer the issue of the "Ukrainian aggression" to the United Nations Security Council.
