A fire broke out on 24 July in the Bourd forest, Charchara area, Aknoul district, Taza province, destroying 30 hectares of forest cover, including holm oak, Aleppo pine, and secondary grasses. Intervention teams, comprising ANEF, Civil Protection, Local Authorities, Royal Gendarmerie, Auxiliary Forces, and Royal Armed Forces (FAR), faced challenges such as rugged terrain, shifting winds, and high temperatures, which prolonged firefighting efforts. Supported by ground teams and two Canadair aircraft, they continue to work on containing the fire. Residences threatened by the fire were evacuated, and the local command center, supervised by the governor of Taza province, is monitoring the situation to take appropriate measures.
