DESCRIPTION::
In Mauritania, three people were killed in clashes between police and protesters who alleged election rigging. More than 200 people were arrested within 24 hours following demonstrations in various regions, including Nouakchott, Nouadhibou, and towns in the valley. Approximately 100 arrests were made in both Nouakchott and Nouadhibou, with around 70 people detained in Gorgol and Brakna. The arrests were carried out by the police, gendarmerie, and guard forces during the simultaneous demonstrations that occurred last night.
