A fire at the Chadian army’s main ammunition depot in N’Djamena triggered a series of explosions from Tuesday night to Wednesday, resulting in at least nine deaths and 46 injuries. The affected area, near major military installations and the international airport, was severely damaged, with numerous explosions causing structural damage and creating a large crater.
