Tunisia: Fire destroys customs site in Ghardimaou

A major fire broke out on January 26, 2024 at the Customs pound located at the Cité Ezzouhour in Ghardimaou (jendouba). The fire destroyed a large amount of seized contraband fuel, a number of cars seized inside the warehouse and other objects. The civil protection units of Ghardimaou, Jendouba and Bou Salem rushed to the scene to control the flames. An investigation has been opened to define the circumstances of this incident.
