DESCRIPTION::
Miitant group Katiba Macina, affiliated with JNIM, targeted a camp of the Malian armed forces (FAMa) in Kwala, resulting in over 20 killed and injured. The attackers used a vehicle bomb, entered the camp, set vehicles on fire, and stole weapons. Fleeing north, they were pursued by FAMa, neutralizing many. Nara's Circle and the Mauritania border serve as a rear base for Katiba Macina.
