DESCRIPTION::
Troops from the Multinational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF) engaged in operations in the Lake Chad region have suffered casualties, with two soldiers killed and three injured between February 10 and 20. The deceased soldiers, hailing from Nigeria and Chad, were targeted by terrorists during the operations. Simultaneous clearance operations across MNJTF's four sectors resulted in the neutralization of suspected terrorists and the recovery of high-caliber firearms, ammunition, and other weapons. The operations also led to the surrender of terrorists and the interception of a significant arms haul intended for insurgent use.
