In Jigawa State’s Ringim Local Government Area, severe flooding has displaced over 2,000 families and destroyed farmlands, causing billions of Naira in property damage. The acting chairman, Abdu Sule Mezan, highlighted that several communities, including Ringim town, Dabi, Yakasawa, and Sintilmawa, were heavily impacted. Displaced families are currently sheltering in primary schools. The local government is working to redirect the Rafin Kainuwa stream, a recurring threat to residents.
