Nigeria: Gunmen Abduct ex MP and her Children in Delta State

In Asaba, Delta State, gunmen abducted former House of Representatives member Joan Onyemaechi and her children on Tuesday evening. The assailants killed two police orderlies and her driver at Onyemaechi’s church, King Jesus and I, located on Ogajifo Street. A passerby was also killed by a stray bullet. Onyemaechi, the immediate past Commissioner for Technical Education, resigned to support her brother's chairmanship candidacy in the recent council election. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the kidnapping and reported the deaths of a police officer and one other individual.
