DESCRIPTION::

• Fear grips Ikenne as Obaship tussle escalates
• Loyalists of Prince Yomi Odeneye attacked supporters of competing party of Alakenne of Ikenne Remo, Oba Adeyinka Onakade. The violence is related to who would become the Oba (traditional ruler). One person died from the incident as the personal house of the traditional ruler was also ransacked.

The tussle over obaship title has been ongoing for some time with court involvement. DSS security officials came to pick up Prince Odeneye, causing his loyalists to go on rampage. The police mobilized to restore law and order
Chief of Police confirmed the incident.
