DESCRIPTION::
On 27 July, in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, unidentified attackers set fire to the home of Azubuike Christian Uwechue, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward secretary. A witness reported that the assailants were armed with gasoline, axes, rifles, and other weapons. He alleges that disgruntled party leaders orchestrated the attack, which resulted in the death of a relative and other casualties. The attackers vandalized the property, assaulted three individuals, and threatened further violence if Azubuike continued his involvement in PDP matters.
