DESCRIPTION::
Police in Anambra State foil criminal gang operating in the area.
• A member of the gang was shot and killed during a confrontation with police at a checkpoint.
• The gang was traveling in a commercial vehicle from Nnewi to Onitsha.
• One of the gang members attempted to draw a pistol but was gunned down by police personnel.
• A concealed dagger was found in the bag they were carrying.
• The state police commissioner ordered for the release of two passengers who were not members of the gang.
