Abuja police rescued 12 children who had been abducted from Nasarawa State and were being trafficked to an undisclosed location. The rescue operation was conducted by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad 74 (RRS 74) who intercepted a Toyota Hiace bus driven by Muhammad Isah of Kafanchan, Kaduna. The children, aged between 5 to 16 years, were discovered to be from Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa State. Investigations revealed that they were being trafficked to Ogun State by Pastor Simon Kado and Jesse Simon Kado, both of whom are now in police custody. Efforts are underway to reunite the children with their families in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Police Command. Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh, emphasized the priority of residents' safety amidst ongoing investigations.
