The President of the Plateau Baptist Conference, Rev. Koeleh Saleh, decried the loss of over 62 church members, including pastors and their children, in attacks over the past eight months in Mangu and Bokkos LGAs. Saleh recounted the series of attacks on Baptist churches and communities, including the burning of churches, destruction of homes, and loss of lives. He called on the government to urgently intervene and address the escalating insecurity, emphasizing the need for justice and the establishment of state police to tackle the problem effectively. In response, Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the security challenges and assured the church of the government's commitment to bringing an end to the violence and restoring peace in the state.
