Mozambique's National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) confiscated nearly 500 kilograms of cannabis and other unidentified drugs in Matibane, Mossuril district, Nampula province. The seizure, conducted on February 10 in collaboration with the Mozambican Police (PRM), involved a boat in the mangroves where the drugs were discovered along with two pistols and ammunition. Despite the operation, no arrests were made at the crime scene. The drugs, primarily cannabis sativa of Swazi origin and cannabis seed oil, were found in packages, and additional substances are undergoing laboratory examination for identification.
