President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique has called for increased border surveillance with Tanzania to prevent terrorists from entering the Cabo Delgado Province. Addressing officers from various branches of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in Mueda, Nyusi emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, stating that terrorists might escalate activities. He urged border guards to remain firm and fearless in each part of the region, emphasizing their crucial role in representing state power. Nyusi's directive comes amid ongoing terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado, where militants have been engaging in violence, robbery, and property destruction.
