DESCRIPTION::
At a Ceuta Assembly session, Vox MP Juan Sergio Redondo accused Morocco of deliberately using migrants to destabilize Ceuta, with alleged cooperation from the socialist and People's Party (PP) government. He proposed the expulsion of illegal migrants and those regularized migrants who commit crimes, which was rejected with only four votes in favor. Redondo also opposed a government plan to distribute minors from Ceuta and the Canary Islands to other regions, arguing it would worsen the migration issue. PSOE spokesman Sebastian Guerrero and MDyC deputy Fatima Hamed criticized Redondo’s proposals, deeming them discriminatory and illegal under Spanish and international law. Alberto Gaiton, a governance advisor, emphasized the need for structural immigration measures and criticized Redondo’s approach as populist and disrespectful. Redondo accused Morocco of manipulating migration flows for political ends.
