Mauritania intercepts armed wounded Touaregs

A vehicle carrying armed individuals, including injured Tuaregs, was intercepted by Mauritanian authorities near NBeikitt Lahwach in Eastern Hodh, according to multiple sources. The armed men, including the wounded, surrendered their weapons to Mauritanian authorities and were subsequently taken to a police station. From there, they were transported by the Mauritanian army to an undisclosed location. It is believed that these individuals may have been in conflict with other military forces, likely Malian, near the locality of Jdeir on the Mauritania-Mali border.
