Libya: 200 homes in Zliten damaged by rise of groundwater level

The committee tasked with evaluating the damage caused by high groundwater levels in Zliten convened its second meeting to discuss compensation procedures. Chaired by the committee's head and attended by the Mayor of Zliten Municipality, the meeting addressed the completion of compensation forms and outlined supervision methods. Approximately 200 files detailing damage to homes due to rising groundwater levels were received. The committee collaborated with the municipality to authorize local chiefs to handle compensation forms. Additionally, teams of engineers were organized to conduct field visits, while another group managed citizen files and data entry.
