On July 22, 2024, a unit of Niger's Defense and Security Forces (FDS) successfully repelled an attack by "armed terrorist groups" in the Téra region, located in the southwest of the country. The operation resulted in the neutralization of 21 terrorists and the seizure of several of their vehicles.
