Burkina security arrested two suspects for their involvement in a criminal gang. Subsequent coordinated efforts resulted in the arrest of several other members across different locations. The gang, active for over a decade in the Eastern zone, operated under the guise of gold miners and was responsible for various crimes, including the death of a shopkeeper. Ten members were apprehended, while two remain at large. The gang's modus operandi involved planning at night before carrying out robberies, with motorcycles being used for transportation. The operation led to the recovery of stolen items, including motorcycles, firearms, and cash. Commissioner Traoré emphasized ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining fugitives and urged the public to collaborate with law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities.
