In Burkina Faso, near Djibo, an unspecified number of suspected terrorists were targeted and eliminated in operations conducted by the Burkinabè army, as reported by security sources on February 21, 2024. The 14th Combined Arms Regiment (RIA) commandos said they successfully ambushed a terrorist group on February 18, resulting in the neutralization of several insurgents and the recovery of war materials. Subsequently, around forty terrorists returned to assess the situation but were spotted by RIA lookouts. Air vectors engaged them during their withdrawal, leading to precise strikes that left several terrorists incapacitated. The surviving individuals attempting to escape were subsequently apprehended and treated in accordance with the law.
