DESCRIPTION::
On February 25, 2024, an attack occurred on a mosque in Natiaboani in the East region, as reported by the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB) in a statement dated February 25, 2024. The attack, carried out by individuals described as "lawless," resulted in the provisional death toll of 14 people, including the local grand imam. Additionally, on the same day in the Sahel region, an attack on a church in the village of Essakane led to around fifteen casualties. Official assessments are awaited to confirm the exact numbers.
