DESCRIPTION::

The Sokoto State Police Command announced the killing of a suspected bandit and the recovery of an AK47 rifle a few days after the arrest of 15 individuals for various criminal activities. The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police Ali Kaigama said five suspects with three AK47 rifles and 90 rounds of live ammunition were apprehended while en route to Tambuwal for a kidnapping mission. Further investigations identified Bello Hantsi, also known as Mai Dubu-Dubu, as the leader and arms supplier. In a subsequent operation, the Anti-Kidnapping unit, along with DPO Kware Division, confronted the suspect. The suspect attempted to escape, firing a shot, prompting a quick response from the team, killing him. Others fled with gunshot wounds.
