DESCRIPTION::

The president of opposition party the Free Destourian Party (PDL) Abir Moussi began a wild hunger strike on January 26, 2024, during which she decided not to drink, eat or even take her medicines.

Abir Moussi took this decision to denounce her "arbitrary detention that has lasted for months and without crime and without even a trial" but also to protest against the examination of the bill on the creation of an office for the Qatari Development Fund by the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP), a subject that is close to her heart and that she had already defended when she was a Member of Parliament.
