DESCRIPTION::

The camp commandant of IDP Camps One and Two in Gbanjimba, Benue State, revealed that armed herders have killed at least 10 internally displaced persons. The disclosure was made during a visit by the United States Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. The affected camps include Ichuwa, Bakkaa, Ukpaan, Otese, Daudu, and Gbanjimba. The camp commandant reported invasions by suspected Fulani herdsmen, leading to the deaths of displaced individuals.
