Mozambican police captured a man in Ancuabe suspected of conducting surveillance for terrorist groups in Cabo Delgado province. The individual was apprehended while monitoring movements of Defence and Security Forces and the public. Recent terrorist group activities near National Road 1 and Quissanga district have caused concern, possibly linked to pressure from security forces. Mozambican president Filipe Nyusi acknowledges evolving tactics by terrorists during his visit to a Rapid Intervention Force position in Cabo Delgado. The province has faced armed insurgency for six years, resulting in significant displacement and casualties.
