The various armed militias deployed in Tripoli to ensure security will have to leave the Libyan capital, making way for regular forces, the Minister of the Interior announced on Wednesday. “After a month of consultation, we reached an agreement with the security groups so that they will completely leave the capital soon. There will only be urban police officers, emergency police officers and those responsible for criminal investigations,” said Imad Trabelsi, Minister of the Interior of the Government of National Unity. “From now on, their place is in their HQs.
