Libya: Militia group exits from Tripoli airport and seaport

The Deterrence Service for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime, formerly known as the Special Deterrence Force, has confirmed its adherence to the Council of Ministers’ decision to withdraw its personnel and office from Mitiga International Airport and Tripoli seaport. The withdrawal, effective as of Thursday, February 8, 2024, aligns with the Government of National Unity's decision announced on January 15 to regulate operations at the country’s land, sea, and air ports.
