DESCRIPTION::
In western Niger, 14 civilians were killed and several others injured in an attack by armed men on villages in the Mehanna commune, near the Burkina Faso border. The Nigerien army reported that the assailants targeted multiple villages, causing significant casualties. The army responded swiftly, neutralizing two terrorists and destroying a motorcycle used by the attackers. Despite the tragedy, authorities are urging the local population to remain calm and continue their agricultural activities with courage and determination. This attack follows a similar incident in the same region, where 15 soldiers were killed on July 22.
